September 6th- Assessment - for all skaters.  Parent meeting.

Fees includes coaching, 2 practice sessions and 3 competition fees. The team will fund raise to help with other expenses (team costume and team wear).  Depending on the fundraising efforts there may be some reimbursement for costumes.  All parents are also expected to help with the fundraising events.

Skaters are encouraged to supplement this program with other skating sessions. The sessions prior to the Synchro practice on Tuesdays have a special rate for Synchro team skaters. Dance/Skills 3:30 - 4PM and/or Freeskate 4-5PM.

Skate Canada requires all Skaters to wear a CSA approved hockey helmet up to and including Stage 5.

Program Description:

Introduction to PowerSkate is an option for skaters who are not ready to enter the CanPowerSkate sesson but interested in preparing to play hockey.  Skaters are to wear hockey gear but no sticks will be used.  Lessons are given in group format and led by certified NCCP Professional Coaches.  Skaters may be placed into the existing group structure on the CanSkate program session at their appropriate skill level or a group of Intro to Powerskate skaters will be grouped together and rotate from station to station using circuits at each station.

Program Description:

Skaters are introduced to the basics of skating in a fun, friendly manner.   Lessons are given in group format and led by certified NCCP Professional Coaches and assisted by trained Program Assistants.  Canskaters work on six stages that pertain to general recreational skating, hockey, ringette,  and figure skating.

CSA approved hockey helmet mandatory.  Long pants, mittens and warm sweater or jacket.

Skates and helmets required as we do not have access to Skate Rentals

Pro-rating for late entry.

Annual Ice Show is part of our program that all skaters participate in.  Practices are during classes beginning mid February.  Show is at the Ladner rink on Friday, March 13th at 6:30PM
